Briar Road is a double-storey end-terraced property under Watford Borough Council. The existing 2-bed house is being redesigned to enhance ground floor functionality, adding a bedroom, utility space, living room, and open-plan kitchen and dining area. Removing internal walls between the dining room and kitchen creates a combined kitchen, dining, and living space with an internal courtyard featuring an Atlas roof lantern skylight. On the first floor, the extension accommodates 3 bedrooms: two share a bathroom, and one has an en-suite. A visual connection between the first and ground floors is achieved through a cut-out in the hallway, creating a double-height space, with the roof extension aligning with the existing hipped roof.
